Privacy Policy

Plain language first; the legal text is in each section. This policy covers the Juno and Juno Business apps, the web panels and this website.

1. Who we are

Juno is operated by Geneus Enterprise LLC, a company registered in the United States. For anything in this policy, write to privacidad@juno.com.do or use the privacy request form.

2. Data we collect

Account: phone number, name, email, and the Google or Apple identifier if you sign in that way. Identity (sellers, providers, agents; optional for buyers): images of the front of your Cédula, a selfie, and the fields read from the document (number, name, date of birth). Business: RNC, legal and trade name, DGII registry status, authority documents for companies, bank account for payouts. Activity: orders, bookings, tickets, messages, reviews, payouts. Device and location: device model, app version, approximate location for zones, precise location only when you place a pin or enable it.

3. How we use it

  • Run the service: match buyers and businesses, process payments, issue fiscal documents (NCF / e-NCF) as required by the DGII.
  • Keep it safe: verify identities, detect fraud and duplicate accounts, enforce the Terms.
  • Support you: answer requests, send transactional messages (order status, codes, payouts).
  • Improve Juno: aggregated usage analytics. We do not sell personal data and we do not show third-party ads based on your personal data.

4. Identity verification

Your Cédula images and selfie are used only to confirm you are who you say you are. They are never shown to other users — buyers see a “verified” badge, nothing else.

Verification is performed by Juno with the help of a specialised processor acting under our instructions. Images are encrypted at rest, restricted to the verification team, and deleted per section 6. The document number is kept to prevent duplicate accounts.

5. Who we share it with

  • The other party to a transaction: a business sees your name, the order and a delivery address if you chose delivery; you see the business's legal name on fiscal documents.
  • Processors: payment gateways, cloud hosting, identity verification, SMS/email delivery — bound by contract to use data only for Juno.
  • Authorities: the DGII receives the fiscal data the law requires; other authorities only on a valid legal request.

6. How long we keep it

  • Account and activity data: while your account is active, then up to 30 days after deletion.
  • Cédula and selfie images: deleted 90 days after a decision; the document number and the decision are kept for anti-fraud.
  • Fiscal documents and transaction records: 10 years, as tax law requires.

7. Your rights

You can access, correct, export and delete your data, and object to certain uses. Most of this is available in the app under Account. For anything else, use the privacy request form; we answer within 15 business days and may ask you to verify your identity first.

8. Delete your account

In the app: Account → Sign-in and security → Delete account. Without the app: send a request through the privacy form choosing “Privacy request / account deletion”, from the email or phone on the account.

What happens: your profile, messages and preferences are deleted within 30 days. Fiscal documents and transaction records are kept for the legal retention period, detached from your profile. Business owners must transfer or close their businesses first; open orders or payouts must be settled.

9. Job applicants

Applications sent through Work at Juno (name, contact, résumé, links, message) are kept for 12 months to consider you for the role and similar ones, then deleted. Ask for earlier deletion any time at talento@juno.com.do.

10. Cookies

This website uses only strictly necessary cookies and local storage (language, session). No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

11. Changes

We announce material changes in the app and by email at least 15 days before they take effect. Every version is listed below with its effective date.
